CYBER/EW(2): The Cyberspace & Electronic Warfare Operations SMARTbook is our new second edition Cyber SMARTbook -- completely updated for 2026 – with a focus on operational warfighting in multidomain operations. The Army’s operating concept of multidomain operations anticipates the return of great power competition and large-scale combat operations and stresses the need to integrate and converge warfighting capabilities in all domains to achieve and press positions of relative advantage. Creating effects in cyberspace and the electromagnetic spectrum across the competition continuum is key to achieving relative advantages. To maximize these advantages, commanders must integrate and synchronize cyberspace operations and electromagnetic warfare with all other available military capabilities through a combined arms approach.
